Have you ever seen a marketing campaign and you’re just stunned by its content?!
Like you are just captivated by that email, billboard, or social media graphic?!
I find myself more and more captivated by the marketing efforts of companies both big and small.
Here are some recent marketing materials I came across on my recent trip to San Francisco and what I thought about them.
Since I love naming stuff…let’s call this “marketing gone wild..part one”
Warning…YOU WILL BE AMUSED
This bad boy was a billboard from a company called Stytch. It reads “The average human resets passwords more than they have sex”.
I found this one uniquely “gone wild” because, like myself, I’m sure a lot of us giggled at the idea of resetting passwords being compared to someone’s sex life.
It felt simple and relatable, which compelled me to take action or at least be curious about how often I change my password…or at least how often I was having sex.
This beauty! Haha. I was cracking up with laughter for a good 5 minutes after seeing this one.
It’s pretty much an apple watch for dogs. As a non-pet owner I didn’t understand the importance or value of such a device. But as a human, this ad clearly had a sexual undertone that gets adults to pay attention.
As they say, how to get laid, get paid, and lose weight will ALWAYS be successful when snuck into marketing.
Because seriously ?! “How thicc is too thicc on a corgi? ” is quietly honestly one of the funniest ads I’ve ever seen. Followed by the dog “looking back at it”.
The team behind this campaign needs a raise!
This was in front of… yup you guessed it, an Escape Room. Simple and to the point yet amusing and compelling.
I did my first escape room in the summer of 2021 with my siblings and cousin and it was such a fun time. I had always wanted to do them because I love problem-solving and adventure and this chalkboard really summed up the experience.
Marketing has always caught my attention (as it should) and just communication overall of how we use creativity to compel people to use our products or services.
What are some cool/interesting marketing campaigns you have come across in the past that really grabbed your attention?
