The Key to Getting Paid. The only hard part about making money should be doing the actual work. Getting paid for the work you have done should never be hard.  In the past I have experienced situations where my clients took way too long to pay because of bank issue, transfer problems, and other money problem. This would lead me to a lot of Financial Anxiety. Now there are so many digital tools available for you to get your money faster, better and more conveniently. You don’t have to worry about currency exchange, language barrier, or fund transfers processes or anything that previously slowed down your money.
Here are 5 digital tools that help you get your money!
PayPal  – Most people are familiar with paypal. You send/ receive money from friends and family for free. But purchases charge a 2.9% fee. Very easy to use and has been around for almost 20 years.
Square Cash or as many call “Cash App” – I adore cash app. They have a very beautiful interface and a unique feature that allows you to order a debit card that is connected to your cash app account. They recently also started allowing people to buy and spend bitcoin on the app.
Venmo – Venmo is a payment app that has a very social interface so that others can see who you are paying. There are no fees charged to send money. I believe when you do business transactions there is a fee though
Zelle Pay – Most banks are now using Zelle to allow instant bank to bank transfers. In the past transferring from one back to another would take days and even weeks. Now it takes seconds and minutes.
Social Media – There is snapchat pay, Facebook pay and a few more social media that allow you to send/request money right in the app.
Bonus there are also Google Pay and Apply Pay.
And remember even with all these formats Cash is still king.
Another tip as this is the last post in my financial Anxiety series is “Never count your money until it’s in your hand” my husband tells me this all the time. I would count on client payments or money to come in on specific days and then be in a bind when that money didn’t come in on time. That sent my financial anxiety out the roof. Now I just calculate the money that I have on hand and work accordingly with what is already in my possession. I also charge clients upfront, no funds no service. This helps me to make sure that I don’t do the work and then stuck without my payment. (This does not work with all projects but when I can I do)
