From 495 to 715, How bad credit almost ruined my business

To close off the #MiniMoneySeries I wanted to share a #storytime with you all. This storytime is about how I turned my credit and finances upside down. Having bad credit almost ruined my business. When I created a company I chose a legal format that would mean the business is a separate entity from myself. It was not long before I got the reality check of how connected my personal credit was to my company’s access to credit and capital.

Once I realized how much I was in the hole it was time to learn about finances, money, and definitely credit.

Here is my story of how I went from 495 to 715 credit score in order to save my business

Please note at the time of this recording (March 2022) my company is almost 3yrs old and has less than $3k in credit line access, all because of my early mistakes in personal credit.

I will continue to talk about this journey as we continue to Get Shit Done.
