Combating Financial Anxiety: Part 1

For a long..LONGGG time I suffered from financial anxiety. Yes it’s a real thing. I’d refused to check my account, undercharged for my services, wanted to give things away for free, and just go into panic when I knew my expenses were more than my revenues. I’m still figuring it all out but I wanted to share some resources that have helped me with this anxiety. I’ve been using a few apps to save, track my spending, and collect my money.

Square cash – peer to peer payments. They also give you a debit card number in the app that you can use to make purchases. You can request an actual debit card also. ( free) -> Try Cash App using my code and we’ll each get $5!  cash.me/app/JMQXBRF

Western Union – moving money internationally

Chase – my personal and business bank account

Robinhood – buy stocks and invest money (free) -> sign up with my link http://share.robinhood.com/georgig

Paypal – I have a paypal business account. Good for purchases online. And with clients. There is a small fee when clients pay me. But free to send between friends and family. They also provide a free debit card from businesses accounts. Lastly they have a feature called PayPal.me where people can send you money directly and quickly (shameless plug mine is PayPal.me/Georgieann if you wanna leave a tip for me dropping knowledge in this post )

Paypal here – allows me to use a card swiper and accepts payments from people in person ( charges small transaction fee)!

Credit karma – track my credit score, debt, and suggest ways to improve credit ( free)

Venmo – peer to peer payments i use for clients and friends to pay quickly. Connects to your bank account and recently started connecting to paypal for online purchases. (Free) -> Let’s Venmo ? http://www.venmo.com/georgie-Ann-getton

Clarity money – connect all my cards and accounts and it shows me how much i have across accounts and where I’m spending money. It categorizes it by ” food, travel, leisure ” etc. (Free) loveeee this app -> sign up with this link we both get $3  https://link.clarity.com/S1bsH193lz
