For a long time people have encouraged me to be a thought leader by writing blogs, creating content, and running classes etc. but I would always try to avoid that because I didn’t feel qualified enough to do it. The whole time I didn’t realize that various people were asking for my insight and knowledge because I was qualified, what I had to say mattered to them, they wanted me to learn from me. The demand was calling but I was refusing to supply, not anymore!
Over the last 4 years, I produced over 70 events that were centered around empowerment and education. I loved what I did but after a while, it was as though participants were just sucking up the encouragement and getting excited but not actually using the education part. The learning from the event wasn’t converting enough dreamers to doers.
That’s why last year after I shut down my startup Illicit Mind Inc. I started my company GSD and Mckoy Inc, that focuses on execution.
