I was ready to keep sharing. For my book, I shared my writing, and this time I was ready to share my voice.
The Misadventures and Adventures that I experienced while writing my book inspired me to start a web series called Doing The Most: The Misadventures of Entrepreneurship. After writing and reading my book I was blown away by the experiences and knowledge I had gained. I wanted to share my journey… my story.
At the time there was just so much “Hustle Porn” aka content all about overnight success, hustling until you can’t hustle anymore, how you have to follow almost a specific path to success. I knew that wasn’t true. That wasn’t my story nor was it the story of the dozens of thinkers, dreamers, and doers who spoke at and attended the Annual Get Shit Done Summits.
The GSD Summit was a one-time occurrence and there was a cap on how many speakers and attendees could participate.
The Art of Getting Shit Done was one work that was already completed and all the pages filled.
I wanted to create something that didn’t have a clear beginning and end. Something that had longevity… that could keep going.
A web series was a way to keep the conversation going beyond the summit and the book. The show would later become a podcast thanks to the help of my producers Gifted Sounds Network and I would go on to interview dozens of thinkers, dreamers, and doers.
50+ episodes later the conversation is still going.
