Let me begin with clearly stating that I am NOT a politician and have no political agenda here. Just giving my opinion from the insights I’ve seen, current trends, and personal research.
Here we go.
First of all, Why are 23 different democrats running for office? We need unification and to put our focus into fewer candidates. ( That’s how the democratic party lost last time.) Too many options confuse people. Ultimately when it comes down to it, people will still have to choose between one Republican and one Democrat. So if opinions and objectives are all over the place, then it would be madness to choose.
Secondly, A colleague of mine found out that Mayor Del Blasio of NYC was running for president. I stated that because of reason #1 Trump will most likely win. His follow up was “Honestly, my life hasn’t changed since he sat in that chair. So it doesn’t matter who is there.” Immediately I thought of all the ICE raids that happened and are happening, the videos of undocumented kids being reunited with their parents, and the slow down in my own family members’ and colleagues immigration status. The lives of millions impacted negatively by this administration. But hey, his life and most likely his families’ lives weren’t impacted by the least.
I’m not rooting for Trump or for anyone for that fact. I’m just sharing my opinion and making myself the most educated as possible.
What are your thoughts so far about the 2020 election?
