10 Lessons I Learned from Reading Personal Development Books and Memoirs

  1. The destination isn’t where the magic lives. It lives within the journey.
  2. We’re all human, and as cliche, as it sounds it’s true. We all are testing and trying. We all feel, we all cry and we all don’t know WTF we’re doing before it’s finally done.
  3. Just keep going.
  4. Your best and worst days are often the SAME days, and when you experience that, it’s hard not to believe that greater force (or God). So believe in it all the time. Keep faith.
  5. Don’t take it too seriously.
  6. Say what you mean and mean what you say.
  7. We all cry, we all fail, and we all are too hard on ourselves.
  8. Everyone is pretending, and tired of doing it. Be authentic. It’s less stressful.
  9. Don’t count your L’s as losses, but always lessons.
  10. Be scared, but do it anyways.

Bonus 11. You don’t owe anyone SHIT! Especially when you make it. Give on your terms. You earned what you have.
