Canva is one of my favorite platforms to create online designs quick and on the fly. I know how to use the whole Adobe Suite, but this is the best place.
Canva has templates to create a Zoom Virtual Background.
- Once you’ve created an account and logged in, type in “Zoom Virtual Background” in the search bar. It will give you the exact sizing needed of 1280px x 720px.
- You want to click on that option. After doing so, you’ll see that there are a bunch of template options that other people have already made.
- After selecting one of these pre-made templates, edit it to make it a custom design for your brand. I selected an image with an office setting. I added a text box with my name and company role. Then, I grabbed my business logo, and placed it within the scene, on the tv, to be all fancy.
- Boom! Now I have this custom design. Maybe I’ll also change the image’s elements to reflect my brand colors. Now I’ve got this virtual background.
- After finishing the customization of the image hit download, and make sure to download the image as a JPG.
- Now, you can add this new virtual background that you created to use in a Zoom meeting. While inside of a Zoom meeting I want to go up to the little carat (beside of the video icon), select “Choose Virtual Background.” In the virtual background settings, select the (+) plus icon > “add image” and it’ll open up your “Downloads” file for you to select the image.
- Now that the image is selected, it uploads that image as a virtual background. When you make the screen bigger or smaller, it resizes to display the virtual background over the entire video feed.
