In elementary school, I attended Phoenix Karate. I didn’t what a Phoenix was so I asked my Sensei. She explained that in ancient Greek mythology, there was a bird known as the Phoenix. According to the myths, this bird could reincarnate from its ashes.
For centuries the Phoenix has symbolized renewal, revival, and new beginnings. As an adult, one of my greatest lessons from the Phoenix is that there is a new beginning after every ending.
In therapy I kept sharing how I felt like the life that I had built had gone up in flames, everything was on fire. In response to this, my therapist said “ That’s okay. Burn it all down, and what you find in the ashes you keep”. The Phoenix presented itself again.
Fast forward to 2023, which was one of the most difficult years for many of us. Honestly, the last 4 years have been pretty transformative for us all. I experienced many endings of my own. And we collectively listened, watched, and were impacted by endings in the lives of others.
Everything went up in flames.
The ashes are all around us.
The end has come and passed.
It is time to begin again.
NOW is the time to revive ourselves and our lives through both an individual and collective renaissance.
- Saving and investing didn’t work out? Begin again.
- Gained weight instead of losing it? Begin again.
- Marriage didn’t work out? Begin again.
- The job wasn’t a fit? Begin again.
- Didn’t publish that book? Begin again.
- The business venture failed? Begin again.
We are in this together. Let us all give ourselves and those around us the permission to begin again.
I decided to “begin again” on my journey to being a paid content creator and digital educator. I revived my brand and started my mailing list from zero. From the ashes, we shall rebuild. I am excited about this journey and want to invite you to come along. Together, we can all begin again.
