Creating Humble Content

On all social media I go by the name “Georgie Be Humble”. I came up with this user name a few years ago because I resonate with the term humble. When I think of someone who is humble they are a person who works hard but honest over celebrate they just do their work, reap their reward and moves on to the next adventure. They don’t let Ego or pride blind them.
I always try to “be humble”. And that is why I create HUMBLE content.

HUMBLE content stands forHonest – Tell the truth and if you don’t have a truth don’t say anything at all. So many put on a facade about who they are and where they come from just to fit in. You don’t need to fit in, you were meant to stand out. Be honest with yourself, you audience and you work. If you don’t like something say something and change it. If  you want to stop doing something you no longer love then stop. Honesty takes strength. But you already have that strength, you just have to dig it up.

Unique – The fact that you are YOU makes you already unique. Yes, that other persons “digital strategy” might be working well and easy to replicate but that doesn’t mean you have to replicate it to get results or that if you do replicate it you will get the results. Be yourself that will take you a lot further that trying to be anyone else, after all everyone else is taken.

Mindful – Being mindful that you are not the only human in the world is a huge key when creating content. You have different privilege, access, ability and features than most others. What works for you may not work for others. Don’t set too many thing sin concrete. Keep on open mine, also be able to start certain topics with an empty mind and be ready to consume and learn first before speaking on it.

Bold – Be bold with what you have to say. Use your voice to its fullest extent, share your raw story, be yourself and put on a suit of confidence. Often times in this digital world we see so much smoky mirrors making us feel the need to be little ourselves but please don’t. Be BOLD! Stand in your truth as your whole self.

Legit – In the age of fake news, fake followers, fake stories etc its very important that your content is legit and transparent. Don’t pretend to do or be something or someone you are not just fro a few likes. The truth will catch up with you and when it does it wont be pretty.

Engaging – your content strikes and emotion in the person consuming it. If you consumers aren’t engaging with your content it can start to feel very bland and lonely. Organic engagement with people asking question, offering criticism, and just communicating back to you with the content you put into the world is important. For me this is a motivator regardless of if the engagement is negative. Ex: The time I though Travis Porter was one person and twitter sure cooked me alive while letting me know that it was a group of people not a sole human. I mean come on, they should have at least named the group Travis Porters so I could know this was plural.
