#LoveWins alwaysYes you did indeed read that title correctly. I am an ordained minister. More specifically I am a wedding officiant. Why did I become a wedding officiant? Well I don’t have just one reason I have 10 and they are:
- In my 20 years of life I have been to only 3 weddings. Two of them were this year. Weddings just give me this nice boost of happiness and is a friendly reminder that “love exists”. I want to get that feeling more and be a part of helping others experience that feeling. What better way to do that than being a wedding officiant?!
- How cool is it to say “I am a wedding officiant”! That alone is reason enough to do it
- Society makes out weddings to be these over complicated events where everyone ends up hating one another when in actuality they should be in love. I want to help people put together and have weddings that focus less on “a huge fabulous crazy event” and more on “two people coming together”
- I love planning and hosting events. Weddings are like the CEOs of events
- #Lovewins Not only did they pass a legislation making it legal for same sex marriages but love is what keeps the world going
- Literally just saying to people “I can marry you” is pretty cool. Sometimes I have to follow up with an explanation that I will merely be performing the ceremony but not actively marry the person. (I know bummer )
- Have you ever see how beautiful a wedding is. If that isn’t an awesome reason then I am not sure what is.
- A 20 year old performing a wedding. Um #Badass . Well at least I think that’s pretty badass
- Being a part of a couples magical moment, Yes indeed that is magical to me as well.
- I can make extra money on the side to have fun and be in a wedding. Sweet!
